"The City Paper" - the first English newspaper free for residents and foreign tourists in Bogota-. The City Paper has an European tabloid format with large pictures, nice news about culture and entertainment and with chronics about our city. The Australian Richard Emblin (its founder) says the idea is to show a picture of what Bogota is. "The City Paper" can be found in the best hotels, museums, restaurants and embassies. It is nice to have this kind of material.
The Instituto Distrital de Turismo IDT is promoting its new "Pedestrian Tours" inviting Bogota's citizens and foreign visitors to visit the historical city center, accompanied by a guide. This free service is provided at the Tourist Information Sites: Quisco de la Luz, Las Aguas and Centro Histórico.

El Colombiano, Medellin´s newspaper, has a blog called Global News Room. It has news about Colombia for people who speak in English. It is an excellent resource for practicing reading current news.
